往往当银匠在炼银时，他会拿一张椅子坐下来，因为在炼银过程中需要一段时间，并高度的专注力。银匠除了要将银块放在炉火烧的最高温之处，好将里面 杂质都除去外；另一方面，他也要确保银子不会因为过度的高温而被亏损。

　　有人问银匠，要如何知道银子已经完全炼净了？银匠说，“噢！很容易的，就是当我能在银子上看到自己的影像时。”上帝就是我们生命的银匠，他乐意熬炼我们的生命，要把我们生命中一切属世界、属情欲的败坏都烧尽，也就是那些使我们无法反映神荣美形象的杂质都剔除净尽。
